This Friday, June 9th , dozens of United Way connected supporters will fan out across Waterloo Region for our eighth annual Day of Caring.
The teams have been pulled together from some of our corporate supporters, and some of our partner agencies.
Their goal: To provide a much needed day of labour on projects at a variety of community sites.
That work will range from gardening, to painting and cleaning, to producing and delivering promotional materials.
Parents for Community Living, Centreville-Chicopee Community Centre, Beechwood Co-Operative Homes, and the Rare Charitable Reserve are among the organizations which will benefit from Day of Caring.
While it’s too late to join the official Day of Caring teams….let’s remember it doesn’t take much to make a difference. Just a few hours a month at any of the dozens of charitable, and non profit organizations in the region pays off in many different ways. You’ll feel good about making a contribution toward a cause for which you have passion. And you’re helping the agency do much needed work it might not otherwise be able to complete.
While June 9th is Day of Caring–every day holds that opportunity.
Thanks to the following teams for stepping up.
